The Miami Heat have been fined $25,000 for “failing to comply with league policies governing injury reporting”, according to an official announcement from the league on Saturday.
According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel’s Ira Winderman, Heat superstar Jimmy Butler was a late scratch for Tuesday’s game against the Boston Celtics due to lower back tightness, but Butler was not previously listed on the team’s injury report.
The Heat went on to beat the Celtics.
This marks the second time this season that the Heat have been fined $25,000 for an injury reporting violation.
