Bulls’ Wendell Carter Jr. Undergoing Surgery for Core Muscle Injury

Chicago Bulls center Wendell Carter Jr. will undergo surgery in order to repair a core muscle injury, according to a team announcement.

Carter is not expected to miss training camp as he recovers from the procedure.

Carter averaged 10.4 points, seven rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game for Chicago in the 2018-2019 season.

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Patrick Beverley will see his fair share of interest as he heads to free agency, and that includes interest from the Clippers as well.

However, Beverley will be seeking to be rewarded for signing with his next team, or staying with the Clippers.

According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Beverley is looking for a three-year deal worth over $40 million.

Teams such as the Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and his hometown Chicago Bulls are expected to pursue Beverley in free agency.

Indiana Pacers point guard Cory Joseph is drawing interest from a number of teams as he prepares to enter unrestricted free agency.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards, Sacramento Kings, and Chicago Bulls are all interested in Joseph.

Joseph averaged 6.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists last season for the Pacers.

The Chicago Bulls have their eyes on improving their frontcourt during free agency and have one particular big man in mind.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Bulls are expected to pursue free agent forward Julius Randle when free agency kicks off on June 30th.

Randle, who declined him $9 million player option with the New Orleans Pelicans, is expected to draw interest from a number of teams including the New York Nets and the Brooklyn Nets.

Randle averaged 21.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists for the Pelicans last season.
