DeAndre Jordan

The Brooklyn Nets are bringing in more than just Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in free agency.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets have agreed to terms on a four-year, $40 million deal with center DeAndre Jordan.

Jordan, a close friend of Durant’s, isn’t the player he was when he was with the Los Angeles Clippers, but is still a solid piece to add to a team with the likes of Jarrett Allen and Chris LeVert, among others.

Jordan averaged 11.0 points and 13.1 rebounds per game for the Dallas Mavericks and New York Knicks last season.

Nets Concerned with Kyrie Irving’s Moods

Kyrie Irving

It appears that the Brooklyn Nets aren’t feeling the mood swings of superstar point guard Kyrie Irving.

According to ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan, Irving has funks where he shuts down communication with everyone, even his teammates.

“When Irving lapses into these funks, he often shuts down, unwilling to communicate with the coaching staff, front office and sometimes, even his teammates.” the article said.

The article goes on to cite Nets’ forward Kevin Durant, a close friend of Irving’s, who spoke about his personality and moods.

“I look at Kyrie as somebody who is an artist,” Durant said of Irving. “You have to leave him alone. You know what he’ll bring to the table every night because he cares so much about the game.

“Now, it might not be how other people want him to care about it. He has his way of doing things. I respect who he is and what he does. He has all the intangibles you want in a teammate and a great player. So, how he gets to the point to be ready for 7:30 every night, I’m supporting him 100 percent.”
