Chris Fleming Joining Bulls’ Staff

Brooklyn Nets assistant coach Chris Felming will be leaving the organization to join the Chicago Bulls as the top assistant to head coach Jim Boylen, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Fleming joined the Nets staff back in 2016 when head coach Kenny Atkinson took the helm.

Fleming also served as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets back in the 2015-2016 season.

Nets Release Statement Regarding Allegations Against Rodions Kurucs

The Brooklyn Nets have responded to the allegations made against forward Rodions Kurucs, who was arrested in Brooklyn, New York for allegedly choking his girlfriend.

“After learning of the allegations against Rodions Kurucs, we notified and are assisting the League Office as they begin the process of gathering more information” the team said in a statement, via the New York Daily News’ Stefan Bondy.

“The Nets organization takes allegations of this nature with extreme seriousness. While the investigation is underway and as we continue to learn more, we will refrain from commenting further.”

Kurucs, 21, allegedly “pushed her on the bed, slapped her in the face twice, bit her lip and then picked her up and tossed her on the bed hard enough to hurt her ribs” during the incident that took place back on June 27th in Kurucs’ apartment.

Brooklyn Nets guard Caris LeVert recently inked a three-year, $52 million extension that will keep him in Brooklyn for the future, and he is happy to be staying in the fold with a team clearly on the rise.

LeVert is hoping to prove he can stay healthy after injuries limited him to only 40 games last season, and by sharing a backcourt with Kyrie Irving, he is expected to make a big jump in the 2019-2020 season.

Nets Sign Theo Pinson to Two-Year Deal

The Brooklyn Nets have signed swingman Theo Pinson to a two-year deal, according to The Athletic’s Michael Scotto.

Pinson, who played for the North Carolina Tar Heels during his collegiate career, joined the Nets’ Summer League team after going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Pinson signed a two-way contract with Brooklyn last season and split his time between the Nets and their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.
