Nuggets’ Mike Malone Comments on Paul Millsap’s Play

The recent play of Denver Nuggets veteran forward Paul Millsap has certainly caught the attention of head coach Mike Malone.

Millsap, 34, has been putting up some solid point production over the past few games, all wins for the Nuggets.

“Paul found the fountain of youth or something,” Malone said of Millsap, according to Brendan Vogt of SB Nation. “I don’t know if he’s 100 percent but he looks really good out there and he looks comfortable.”

The Nuggets have quietly put together one of the more impressive seasons of the year, and sit among the Western Conference elites.

Pistons Sign Joe Johnson, Michael Beasley Not Joining Team

The Detroit Pistons have signed veteran guard Joe Johnson to a partially guaranteed deal, according to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania.

The addition of Johnson, 38, means that the team will not be keeping veteran forward Michael Beasley, who is not expected to land with the team, make the necessary roster spot for Johnson.

With the deal, Johnson becomes the first player out of the BIG3 to land an NBA contract. Johnson led the Triplets to the league championship this summer, and his play sparked interest in bringing back to the NBA.

Nuggets Sign Bol Bol To Two-Way Contract

The Denver Nuggets have signed rookie center Bol Bol to a two-way contract, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

The Miami Heat selected Bol with the 44th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, and ended up dealing his rights to the Nuggets.

Bol is making his way back from a stress fracture in his foot that limited him during his lone season in college.

Nuggets’ President Tim Connelly Remaining with Franchise

Denver Nuggets president Tim Connelly will remain with the Nuggets following an interview with the Washington Wizards, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Connelly met with Wizards owner Ted Leonsis on Friday to talk about the President gig with the team following the dismissal of longtime president Ernie Grunfeld, who had a 16 year tenure with the cluib.

Leonsis apparently made a strong offer to Connelly, but the Nuggets convinced him to stay.
