Lakers’ Brandon Ingram Sees Team Improvement When He’s Active and Moving

Published

on

Los Angeles Lakers’ forward Brandon Ingram has stepped up his game this season, becoming a more adept ball handler when he is thrust into the job, mostly when LeBron James isn’t on the floor.

But Ingram realizes that his continued improvement in his play off the ball will lead to good things for the team as a whole.

“How good guys were moving without the basketball, I think most of the time we’ve been getting the best shot for the team” Ingram said, via the Lakers official Twitter account.

“I think we did really, really good beyond the 3-point line, so we’re shooting with more confidence. Of course on the defensive side, we’re getting better and better each game I think when I’m active and when I’m moving around… I think that’s when I play much better. Just cutting off the basketball and having a chance to attack not only for myself but also for my teammates.”

Ingram is posting 15.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this season for Los Angeles.

Anthony Davis

Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis isn’t short on confidence, and he believes he is the very best in the world.

Although he didn’t win much during his tenure with the New Orleans Pelicans, nor has he ever won a championship, Davis is likely to be in title contention on his new team, the Lakers.

“I’m the best in the world,” Davis proclaimed, according to Alam Abdeldaiem of Sports Illustrated. “I think I do a lot of things that a lot of players can’t do as far as playing a complete game. I can play on the block, play on the perimeter, play defense on both ends, switch 1-5, guard, score the basketball. I want to be the most dominant player in the game, and I’m going to continue to do that.”

Davis also considers other players on the same level as himself, including his teammate LeBron James.

“Obviously you have players like Kawhi, KD, LeBron, Steph all of those guys who are the same way. They’re great players, talented players, Hall of Famers, and that’s what makes our game fun. Everyone wants to be the best in the league. Everyone wants to be the most dominant, and that’s when our competitive edge comes out on the floor and makes the game so fun to watch.”
