Pelicans’ Zion Williamson Happy to be with New Orleans
New Orleans Pelicans’ rookie Zion Williamson is thrilled to have landed with the organization, believing that he ended up in the best situation to start his promising career.
“I am already working with members of the technical staff and the idea of running is emphasized in each exercise. I’m sure that our offensive schemes will allow me to be lethal from the next season.”
The Pelicans venture into the next season with a mix of young players, such as Williamson, and veteran players such as Jrue Holiday and J.J. Redick.
“It is essential to have veterans on whom to rely, not only on the floor but also in the locker room,” Williamson said. “They will be the mentors for the youngest, we will need their advice and their experience. But I am also very impressed by the talent of the youngest. I think we can compete for a championship. Yes, I am convinced that this team can have the NBA title as a goal. I know the complexity of the West. But I see it this way, I’d be lying if I said something different.”
