Wolves’ Asking Price Hindering Jimmy Butler Trade Talks

Published

on

The Minnesota Timberwolves’ high asking price is what is stopping any potential trade involving Jimmy Butler, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Timberwolves president and coach Tom Thibodeau has continued his attempt to try to recruit Butler in hopes that he can get the veteran to ease off his trade demand and return to practice with the team, but Butler has continued to sit out team workouts and is vowing to sit out until he is traded.

Miami Heat president Pat Riley has rejected what many are calling an unrealistic counter offer to trade proposals involving Butler.

“We spent time on (Chicago) and what he wanted to do in the future,” Taylor said of his discussion with Hoiberg, according to Danny Lawhon of The Des Moines Register.

Hoiberg has ties to the organization, having played two seasons in Minnesota and also served in the team’s front office following his retirement.
