Warriors’ Andre Iguodala Says Kevin Durant Is Most Talented Scorer of All-Time

Get ready for the next great debate.

Golden State Warriors veteran Andre Iguodala believes that his teammate, Kevin Durant, is the most talented scorer in NBA history, according to Sports Illustrated’s Ben Golliver.

“People don’t appreciate him enough. He’s the most talented scorer of all-time” Iguodala said. “Hands down. He’s a walking 30 points. He’ll get 30 on 12 shots. That’s very, very hard to do. Very efficient. Most guys need to feel the ball in their hands a lot to get a rhythm. He doesn’t.

While it would be hard to argue that Durant doesn’t belong in the conversation for all-time greatest, it’s hard to put him over LeBron James, Wilt Chamberlain, or Michael Jordan.

Golden State Warriors big man DeMarcus Cousins isn’t worried that his return to the court, and debut with the team, will cause the team to miss a beat due to their work ethic, and team IQ.

Cousins, who ruptured his Achilles last year, was expected to return before Christmas, but is now instead continuing to rehab with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League.

“Of course, it will be an adjustment period coming in midseason,” Cousins said, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated. “But it is a team full of high IQs, so we will figure it out. Once the ball goes up, it will figure itself out. I trust the coaching staff. I trust my work ethic and our ability to come together. We will see what happens.”

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says that center DeMarcus Cousins isn’t that close to making his return to the court, and essentially his debut with the team.

“We’re not really that close,” Kerr said of Cousins’ progress, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

“I don’t want this to be about: ‘Hey, we’re right there.’ We’re not right there. It’s still going to be some time. We’re going to be patient and continue to give DeMarcus the space he needs to prepare. When the time is right, we’ll have some things planned for him.”

Golden State signed Cousins to the mid-level exception of $5.3 million during the offseason.
