Cleveland Cavaliers’ Rodney Hood is preparing for restricted free agency and a number of teams, including the Cavs, are interested in the 25-year old.

Hood struggled to find a fit with the Cavs after being traded from the Utah Jazz at the NBA trade deadline but apparently the Cavs would prefer to keep him in the fold.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Jordan Schultz, the Cavs will have competition from the likes of the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, and the New Orleans Pelicans.

Bulls’ Jim Boylen Liked Players Fighting for One Another During Melee

Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen liked to see his players fighting for one another during Tuesday’s skirmish with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“That’s all we’ve been talking about is fighting for each other,” Boylen said, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. “We talk about being a pack of wolves, man. I thought we had some of that. I liked the look in our guys’ eyes when that happened. It bonded them a little bit.”

The melee hit a fever pitch when Bulls center Robin Lopez got into a heated physical exchange with Thunder forward Jerami Grant, which bled into the stands.

Chicago lost the game in blowout fashion.

Jazz Interested in Jabari Parker

Chicago Bulls forward Jabari Parker is currently on the trade block and the Utah Jazz are apparently interested in the veteran, who has had a disappointing short stint playing for his hometown Bulls.

According to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, the Jazz have not found success with pairing current forward Derrick Favors next to center Rudy Gobert, and with Favors’ $16.9 million left on his contract being non-guaranteed, the Jazz view Parker as a potential replacement for Favors.

Favors can’t be traded until January 15th, so a trade would have to wait a bit, but Utah is certainly interested in turning the page on Favors’ run in Utah.

Bulls Pulling Jabari Parker from Regular Rotation

It appears that the Chicago Bulls are souring on Jabari Parker, who will reportedly be pulled from the regular rotation, according to ESPN’s Malika Andrews.

The 23-year old Parker came to Chicago via a two-year, $40 million deal during the offseason, and marked a return to his hometown and a chance to re-ignite his career.

Now, it appears certain that the Bulls will decline his option, sending Parker back to free agency next summer.

“Jabari has been great,” Bulls head coach Jim Boylen said, according to Andrews. “He understands. Jabari wants to make it about helping the team win. And that’s what I’ve asked him to do.”

Parker has averaged 15.8 points and 7.1 rebounds for Chicago this season.
