Pistons Hire Ed Stefanski To Oversee Franchise Overhaul

The Detroit Pistsons have hired Memphis Grizzlies executive Ed Stefanski as a senior adviser responsible for overhauling the franchise’s basketball operations, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Stefanski inked  a 3-year pact with the team and will be  overseeing the assemblage of a new Detroit front office and coordinating a head-coaching search as well as a new general manager, will report to owner Tom Gores.

“I’m going to Detroit to meet with all the employees and I am going to listen to all their thoughts and visions,” Stefanski said, per ESPN.

“And then I am going to give advice to our owner Tom Gores on how we are going to structure things going forward. The big thing right now, though, is that we need a head coach and a GM. Those will be two items that we will probably do simultaneously.”

Pistons’ Andre Drummond Says Pairing with Blake Griffin ‘Nightmare’ for Teams

Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond is a big fan of playing alongside forward Blake Griffin and believes it gives the Pistons an edge over their opponents.

In fact, Drummond believes that he and Griffin pose a “nightmare” challenge for opposing teams.

“I think for me, my job is to make his game as easy as possible on the offensive end. When I get him open, he usually makes the right plays,” Drummond said, accordig to The Associated Press.

“It’s a nightmare for teams. You’ve got to really pick your poison, who you really want to get going, and it’s scary when we both get it going.”

Drummond is putting in a solid season, averaging 17.4 points and 15.0 rebounds per game this season.

Reggie Bullock Posts Farewell to Pistons Fans Following Trade to Lakers

The Detroit Pistons traded guard Reggie Bullock to the Los Angeles Lakers following Tuesday night’s loss to the Indiana Pacers and Bullock took the time to show his appreciation for Piston fans.

Bullock, who spent four seasons in Detroit, is currently averaging 8.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assist per game this season, and posted the following message following the trade.

Jazz, Pistons Negotiating Trade for Grizzlies’ Mike Conley

The Memphis Grizzlies are currently discussing a trade centered around veteran point guard Mike Conley with the Utah Jazz and the Detroit Pistons, according to The Salt Lake Tribune’s Tony Jones.

According to the Detroit Free Press’ Vince Ellis, the Pistons have been in talks with Memphis, but have interest in Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal and Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker.

Conley has averaged 20.2 points and 6.3 assists per game this season for Memphis.
