Wizards’ John Wall May Miss 2 Months After Knee Procedure

The Washington Wizards may be without All-Star point guard John Wall for up to two months when he undergoes an arthroscopic debridement procedure on his left knee on Wednesday, the team announced after the Washington Post first broke the story.

Wall could miss up to two months of action, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Wall will not play in next month’s NBA All-Star Game.

According to the team, Cleveland Clinic Marymount orthopedic surgeon Richard Parker will perform the procedure. Parker  performed two knee surgeries on Wall in May 2016.

Wall consulted Parker when started experiencing inflammation and soreness in November and has been dealing with issues in his knee since banging knees against Dallas, 10 games into the regular season.

The loss of Wall seriously puts the Wizards playoff hopes in jeopardy and may make them a major buyer as the NBA trade deadline approaches.

It appears that the Chicago Bulls are souring on Jabari Parker, who will reportedly be pulled from the regular rotation, according to ESPN’s Malika Andrews.

The 23-year old Parker came to Chicago via a two-year, $40 million deal during the offseason, and marked a return to his hometown and a chance to re-ignite his career.

Now, it appears certain that the Bulls will decline his option, sending Parker back to free agency next summer.

“Jabari has been great,” Bulls head coach Jim Boylen said, according to Andrews. “He understands. Jabari wants to make it about helping the team win. And that’s what I’ve asked him to do.”

Parker has averaged 15.8 points and 7.1 rebounds for Chicago this season.
