Cavaliers Targeting Kings’ George Hill

Published

on

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking for anything to turn their season around and, per usual, they are scouring the trade market to see if they can find that boost.

One player that the team is targeting is Sacramento Kings veteran guard George Hill, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical at Yahoo Sports.

“In an effort to bolster their backcourt situation, the Cleveland Cavaliers are expressing interest in a trade for Sacramento Kings guard George Hill, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Cleveland has emerged as an interested suitor, with the Cavaliers pursuing Hill to potentially slide into a dual-guard role, starting at either backcourt position or playing as a reserve, league sources said.”

Hill signed a three-year, $57 million deal with the Kings, and his deal could complicate matters.

While his play has slipped a bit this season, Hill is still effective, especially from 3-point range.

Published

Cleveland Cavaliers veteran forward Kevin Love believes that his life has a greater purpose beyond being a productive and successful player in the National Basketball Association and is embracing his role as the league’s unofficial ambassador on mental health.

“I feel like I have a purpose, for the greater good,” Love said, according to The Athletic’s Joe Vardon. “For the first 10 years, for better or worse, that’s what I felt like for basketball. Learning what I needed to learn. Now I’m just starting to work on myself off the court. That’s going to lead to helping people and paying it forward. I think it is good to be busier when you’re working, putting the same time into things that are super valuable.”
