The New York Knicks and center Kristaps Porzingis got some good new in relation to Porzingis’ right ankle injury suffered on Wednesday night in a nasty injury scare.
An MRI taken Thursday was negative, revealing no damage, according to a report from ESPN.
Porzingis joked about his recovery time when discussing the injury postgame on Wednesday night.
“They call me the lizard because I recover so quickly from things,” Porzingis jokingly said. “So hopefully it’s nothing too big and I’m going to get treatment and hopefully the lizard will be ready for Sunday.”
Knicks Sign Marcus Morris to One-Year Deal
Morris nixed a deal he had in lace with the San Antonio Spurs, a two-year, $20 million contract, and now lands with the Knicks for a more lucrative, yet shorter, deal.
Morris is known for his hard play and consistency, and should provide a versatile element to the roster.
Knicks Sign Reggie Bullock to Re-worked Deal
Bullock originally agreed to a two-year, $21 million deal with the team with an option for the second year, but the terms were re-worked due to a medical issue
Despite the hurdles in closing the deal, Bullock’s agent, David Bauman, praised the Knicks for how they navigated the process.
