Bucks’ Rashad Vaughn Understands Why Team Declined His Option

Published

on

Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Rashad Vaughn understand the NBA business side and how teams have to make tough decisions in, what they hope, a way that is best for the team’s present and future.

Recently, Milwaukee decided opted to allow Vaughn to become an unrestricted free agent next summer, a move that Vaughn says he expected.

“Was I surprised? No, not really,’’ Vaughn said, via Gery Woelfel of Woelfel Press Box. “They just want to go in a different direction. It’s out of my control. There’s nothing I can do.’’

“I’ve improved since my rookie year, for sure. I think that’s been my main focus, trying to get better every year and I think I did that.’’

Vaughn hasn’t made much of an impact during his time with Milwaukee and is playing even fewer minutes this season than he has in his career.

Still, his potential will be attractive on the free agent market, so Vaughn may not be out of work for very long and could very well find himself in a better situation in the future.
