The Detroit Pistons have been busy leading up to the NBA trade deadline, headlined by the Blake Griffin trade a week ago, by pulling off a pair of trades today.
Detroit acquired Jameer Nelson from the Chicago Bulls for center Willie Reed, according to a report from ESPN. Chicago is expected to waive Reed.
Nelson will be reunited with head coach Stan Van Gundy, who was with him in Orlando and is expected to provide depth for a Pistons team that is without Reggie Jackson.
The Pistons sent Brice Johnson and a future 2nd round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for forward James Ennis, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Ennis averaged 6.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in 45 games for Memphis this season. Johnson has been averaging 1.8 points this season for the Pistons.
