The Sacramento Kings, who hold the 2nd overall pick, have reportedly honed in on Michael Porter Jr. in their coveted spot, according to USA Today’s Sam Amick.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Jimmy Butler, who the team acquired from the Chicago Bulls in a trade during the 2017 offseason, has formally requested a trade, according to The Athletic’s Jon Krawcynski.

Butler met with Wolves head coach Tom Thibodeau in Los Angeles on Tuesday to discuss his situation, and formally requested his desire to be traded. Butler reportedly had been contemplating requesting a trade for several weeks.

Butler has provided the team with a list of 3 teams that he would be willing to sign an extension with in anticipation of a trade.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the 3 teams are the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Brooklyn Nets.
