Reggie Jackson Not Close To Return

Published

on

The Detroit Pistons are in the midst of a playoff push but they will have to wait a bit longer if guard Reggie Jackson is to join them down the stretch.

Jackson has been out of the Pistons lineup since suffering a right ankle sprain earlier this season and having him back would help Detroit push for a playoff spot.

However, Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy says there Jackson shouldn’t be rushed back into the lineup and that he isn’t very close to making a return to action.

“He’s okay, but there’s nothing imminent with him” Van Gundy said, according to The Detroit News’ Rob Beard.

“He’s doing his rehab and he did a little bit of 1-on-1 against one of the video guys today, but that’s as far along as he is.”

Detroit may a bold move to be playoff contenders, signified by the trade for Blake Griffin, and having Jackson back in the lineup will go a long way in helping them become just that, but it remains to be seen if Jackson makes a return the rest of the season.
