In fact, Hernangomez is hoping that the Knicks deal him to another team.
“I think there will be a change: I hope for the better, it can’t get worse than this,” Hernangomez said, as per MARCA, a Spanish editorial. “I would like to stay here, but I don’t close doors to anything. What I want is to play. There’s a few weeks left till the trade deadline and I want to play.”
“I’ve enjoyed the experience of playing in New York. I love the city, the fans, my teammates . . . but I’m 23, I’m ambitious, I’m hungry and want to play. I don’t care where. I’m ready for whatever and working to change this situation and play.”
Hernangomez is averaging 4.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game this season and with limited opportunities available with the Knicks it makes sense that he would want a chance to play for another team.
