The New York Knicks are waiving veteran guard Ramon Sessions, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
In another move, the Knicks are signing point guard Trey Burke from the team’s G League affiliate Westchester Knicks, according to ESPN’s Ian Begley.
Burke is averaging 26.6 PPG and 5.3 APG while shooting 49% from the field in 37 minutes per game during his G League stint.
Sessions, 31, will receive the remainder of the $2.3MM salary for the 2017-2018 season. Sessions averaged 3.7 PPG and 2.1 APG per game so far this season for New York.
