Los Angeles Lakers big man Brook Lopez, who left Monday’s game with an ankle injury, has been diagnosed with a moderate ankle sprain.

The injury is expected to cost Lopez at least three weeks of action, the Lakers announced on Tuesday.

While x-rays on Lopez’s injured ankle were negative an MRI confirmed that Lopez, who has had a history of injuries in his career, isn’t dealing with a more serious injury.

Lopez will be reevaluated in three weeks.
