Spurs’ Tony Parker Send To G League For Rehab Assignment

San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker took another step in his recovery from a torn quadriceps.

The Spurs will send Parker down on a rehab assignment with the organization’s G-League affiliate, Austin Spurs, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Parker could potentially make his return to the team next month, barring an injury or setback in his rehab stint.

Spurs’ Pau Gasol Not Thinking About Retirement

San Antonio Spurs veteran big man Pau Gasol isn’t about to hang up his shoes and retires just yet, despite the recent retirement of Manu Ginobili.

“I’m not thinking about retirement at the moment,” Gasol, 38, according to the AFP. “Thought I know it’ll come at some point and time, my plan and focus is to enjoy this season to the max.”

“I want to keep giving it my all, making a difference and loving what I do.”

Gasol has played 17 seasons in the NBA and averaged 10.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game during the 2017-2018 season.

Spurs Sign Quincy Pondexter

The San Antonio Spurs have signed wing player Quincy Pondexter to a one-year contract that is partially guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Chris Haynes.

Pondexter could fill the void left by Manu Ginobili, who retired earlier this week.

Pondexter, 30, played 23 games with the Chicago Bulls last season averaging 2.0 points per contest.
